The Warrior : Short Fiction

The life of a warrior had not been easy. Growing up he had thought it would be very cool to fight an army and become a great warrior. Things were great for a long time but ever since the death of the King, everything took a dark turn.

He gripped his sword a little tighter.

He missed Ivanca, his wife. It had been 2 years since he last saw her. They were at the border of the kingdom for a long time now defending the kingdom from the attack of the neighboring countries.

He lifted his shield and held onto it firmly.

Rognar, his son, would be seven this winter. He wanted to see how he big he might have grown these past two years. He might never know now.

He leaped forwards screaming as waves of enemy soldiers fell upon them. They were in hundreds of thousands. This might as well be his last battle.
