Book Review : Inkredia – Luwan of Brida by Sarang Mahajan

When was the last time you picked up a book and became a book-worm in the literal sense of being a worm chewing up the pages because you adore it so much that it needs to be eaten up.

Before I go ranting about this again here is the book blurb :

In Fal Doram, also called as the great empire of Inkredia, a conspiracy begins to unfold. The first step is an easy one – kill a simple, villager named Luwan. When Luwan suddenly faces an enemy straight out of the folklore, he is left dumbfounded by the mystery why they are after him. As he makes a daring run to survive, journeying through the unknown world outside his village, new mysteries emerge, some closely concerning him. Riddled with questions and hunted by legendary assassins, and by the nonhumans made of the darkest element in the nature, Luwan makes a dangerous journey through the incredible empire of Inkredia.

Do you feel like a fireplace that just got stoked and lit up nicely just be reading this blurb?

Where to do start? Hmm.. The Book cover. I almost OCD’ed ringing my fingertip on that amulet on the cover. But hey that’s just me. I am little off like that. But seriously, I just love this book cover. Beautifully designed.

After I dragged myself away from it, and opened the book, there! Another treat for my eyes!! A Map!

The book is a fast paced adventure but what makes it more amazing is the fantasy genre that this book pools from. You got the gist of the story from the blurb but let me tell you that you are going to love Luwan, feel protective of his sister, Meg, and rely on Kiliarn when trouble brews.

I don’t ever say this but if there is book that needs to be made into a movie, this has to be it. I would love to see this made into a movie and then again into a TV series because I can’t get enough of it. I had some guests over the other day and some one wanted to borrow the book but I turned into Smeagol that instant and snatched it back and directed them towards the amazon link. I don’t think I have ever done that.

The only question that now remains is, when do we get the next book?
