The Lord of the Castle – Poetry

Shrouded by mist,
The grey castle stood in the middle of the forest.

A lonely narrow path,
Lead to it from the forest.

On the highest floor,
From the window,
Looked out a pale face,
As the sun set to it’s death.

A sneer spread on it’s face,
As it looked across the distance into the horizon.

She waited in the distance,
A mortal human soul.

Seven centuries has the time flown,
Since the last rainy day.

Time had frozen,
To form diamond shaped crystals.

The Vampire now alone,
Alone he roamed the corridors of the castle,
Doomed to spend so till eternity.
